Waukegan Man Arrested for Running Over Girlfriend’s Mom

(Zion, IL)  Police in Zion say a Waukegan man has been arrested after an incident involving his girlfriend’s mother.

Juan Zavaleta is accused of running over the 44-year-old woman after an altercation early Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Lebanon Ave.

Zavaleta was taken into custody shortly after incident, and was discovered with a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit.

He has since been charged with aggravated DUI with great bodily harm, leaving the scene of an injury accident and more. Bond for the 21-year-old was set at 50-thousand-dollars.

The victim was last reported to be in serious but stable condition.
